About CFIIM
الأسواق الإسلامية
CFIIM is an independent, governance-focused research institute bridging Islamic finance scholarship and institutional practice. We exist to build the institutional architecture that allows Muslim capital to participate confidently in private markets.
The gap no existing institution was built to fill.
GCC sovereign wealth and family office capital is actively seeking credible, governance-first platforms for Islamic private market deployment. The supply of such platforms — and the institutional infrastructure that would make them legible to institutional allocators — remains thin.
What CFIIM is.
And what it is not.
Its role is to complement — not replicate — existing institutions.
Commercially anchored. Editorially independent.
The model is proven.
The structural relationship between CFIIM and Baraka Prosperity Partners follows a well-established model in which a commercially anchored institution funds independent research that serves both its own strategic interests and a broader public audience.
Institutional Independence
Full editorial and research independence from the founding sponsor. Research outputs, publications, and institutional positions are determined solely by research leadership and advisory council. Sponsorship does not confer editorial influence.
Staged Authority
CFIIM does not claim the authority of an established institute from inception. Influence precedes authority. Norm-setting precedes formal standardisation. The programme earns institutional standing through demonstrated credibility — not assumed from the outset.
Research Integrity
Publications follow established academic standards. Methodology, data sources, and analytical frameworks are clearly documented. All contributors disclose conflicts of interest. CFIIM does not promote or endorse specific financial products, funds, or investment vehicles.
